We’re kicking off National Grilled Cheese month with a totally over the top and totally delicious Nutella, Brie, and Bacon Grilled Cheese Sandwich.
It is not safe to leave me alone with a hunk of good cheese. Chances are pretty good that I’ll eat the whole thing. I once signed up for this amazing cheese CSA from one of my favorite cheese shops around Boston. Every month we’d pick up about a pound of local cheeses that were probably supposed to last over a week, aaaaand, I don’t even want to admit how quickly I made my way through it. Let’s just leave it at that.
Nutella, Brie, And Bacon Grilled Cheese
- 2 slices of your favorite grilled cheese bread
- Nutella (amount will depend on size of bread)
- Brie (amount will depend on size of bread)
- 2 slices of cooked bacon
- softened butter
Slice the brie and place on one piece of bread. Cover with the two slices of cooked bacon. Take the other slice of bread and spread nutella on one side. Place bread, nutella side down, on top of the bacon. Slather some softened butter on the outward facing sides of the bread.
Heat a small skillet on medium and place sandwich brie side down into the skillet. Heat until the brie starts to get melty and then carefully flip over to the other side. Cook until the other side is golden brown and the nutella and brie are both melty. Remove from heat, cut in half, and enjoy!
